Professional photography and videography of any kind is prohibited in Shinola Hotel’s public spaces (lobby, hallways, restaurants, etc.) without prior express approval. However, guests and visitors are welcome to take photos and videos for personal or social media usage. Please contact the hotel directly with questions.
Smoking is strictly prohibited by the State of Michigan in hotel rooms and indoor public spaces. In addition to any fines or penalties by the State, the hotel will impose a smoking fee equal to $500 or one-night room charge, plus tax—whichever is greater.
